Alpacas of Acadie is a small alpaca farm situated in Lower West Pubnico, Nova Scotia and is owned by Deanna and Roger d'Entremont. After spending 32 years in the hairstyling business, Deanna wanted a different type of hair beneath her fingers for her retirement years. With a small barn on the property and a desire to spend more time outdoors, she conducted considerable research into the alpaca industry and embarked on the adventure with two pregnant females in December of 2006.
Although Deanna has the passion for these animals and is the main breeder and caregiver, Roger remains her right hand man in all aspects of alpaca raising. Our goal is to stay small and raise high quality, happy, healthy and well trained alpacas, receiving individual attention.
Whether you are serious or just curious, feel free to call or arrange a visit to the farm anytime. We can tell you what we have learned so far and we never tire of alpaca chats.
